Hello everyone! Those of you who have logged into the server in the past few hours may have come across our brand new /towns interface, which is vastly improved upon various versions in previous Survival servers and also features ten new towns for you to go and look around. Although it is a small change, it is likely to have a huge impact on the server and be a great way for you to interact with the rest of the community. We've certainly come a long way from the first Cube Survival where we only had a command list! Introduction to /Towns As always, you access the Towns GUI by using the /towns command. This shows the regular menu of icons representing each town, along with left clicking on an icon to visit the town. However, there is new information when you hover, such as the number of members, number of builds and the date at which the town was founded. You can also right click on the icon to view a list of town members and town owners. On this sub page you can also click on the town icon again to access the Town Community Thread in the forums (if one has been linked). How do I get my town shown? You need to create a town application on the forums - all the information and links you need can be accessed by clicking here. A moderator will then give you permissions to create a town if you are successful in applying. How do I edit my town information? Players who are Town Owners and are listed as a Town Owner on the GUI will be able to use the /edittown command to adjust information on their own. This GUI is self explanatory and in keeping with any other GUI on the network, but moderators are more than happy to help if you get stuck. To make your town visible on the Towns GUI you must 'Toggle Town Visibility' which is currently the top right option in this editor. The Towns GUI works best when all the information is filled in and you have a Town Community Thread created - Town Owners have a responsibility to keep this information up to date and accurate. With this Towns update, you can now vote for the best starter town as part of the Town Competition with the /poll command! You have until Sunday 23rd July to vote!Other Recent News The End Event went really well on Sunday, and with zero server lag! We hope you enjoy these updates and find lots of new friends thanks to the new Towns update!
